Fun Time USA

Gulfport, Mississippi, USA

1978 to 2005

Built and operated by Ray and Shirley O'Neal, Fun Time USA provided family amusements including an arcade, merry-go-round, miniature golf, bumper boats and other kiddie rides for over 25 years. Open 7 months a year, the O'Neal's estimated they averaged 100,000 visitors a year. The park's trademark was a Humpty Dumpty statue.

Like so many Gulf coast businesses, Fun Time USA was destroyed by hurricane Katrina. It was never rebuilt. The property had been leased, and has since been sold for condominiums.

In 2006, the O'Neal's said they hoped to reopen at a different location, with their signature Humpty Dumpty, but this was dependent on the availability of Small Business Administration loans. As of this writing we have no word on their progress.

Last anyone knew, the concrete Humpty Dumpty was located at Ray O'Neal's hunting camp, waiting for the park to be reborn...
