On October 29th, 2012 Hurricane Sandy nearly erased FunTown Pier. Park owners planned to rebuild and reopen, but then on September 12, 2013 a fire brokeout on the Seaside Park end of the boardwalk, and what remained of the pier burned. FunTown Pier owner William Majors still vowed he woudl still reopen, but only time will tell. Until then, this small tribute will remain...
