Putt-Putt Fun Center

Escondido, California, USA

1973 to 2006

The Putt-Putt Fun Center (formerly Boomers!), had been a popular family hangout in Escondido for 33 years. Know locally as Family Fun Center (it's original name), it included 3 miniature golf courses, batting cages, a go-cart track, bumper boats and an arcade. By the time the park closed in April 2006 it was showing it's age, and many said the neighborhood had deteriorated as well. It was scheduled for demolition in May to make way to build 164 townhomes next to a brand new Lowe's.
