Begun as a go cart track in the early 1970's, Thrill-Ville USA grew to be a nice small park, with a variety of rides, a jet star coaster named Ripper, and a kiddie coaster (Little Ripper).

In May of 2008 the owners announced that rising insurance costs and a slowing economy were forcing them to remain closed for the 2008 season. The Ripper has since been scrapped, and it is unlikely the park will ever open again.
